Meet Sarah Twombly, Treasurer

Sarah is an award-winning writer, editor, and business strategist. She began her literary career in the editorial department of Esquire Magazine, and then at a boutique literary agency where she worked with authors like Sigrid Nunez and Carole King. In search of new challenges, she pivoted into a career in advertising and marketing, spearheading campaigns and strategy engagements with entities like Google, MoMA, Ford, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Human Rights Commission. Working with a mix of corporate, political and nonprofit clients facilitated a deep interest in what motivates people to action, the impact of organizational structure and branding, and the various ways authentic communities form, communicate and thrive. Since relocating to Maine, she has focused more on her own writing. You can find her work in outlets like The New York Times, The Atlantic, and Esquire Magazine. She first became involved with Hardy Girls as a member of the events committee. Having witnessed the impact and value this organization brings to the youth of Maine, she is thrilled to be part of the board.
