Our Programs
As a Maine-based, research-driven nonprofit, Hardy Girls has been empowering girls and nonbinary youth with knowledge, critical thinking skills, and a platform to drive social change since 2000. We work with 1,200+ youths annually with the these year-round, statewide programs.
FAB
The Feminist Action Board (FAB) is a group of Maine high school girls and nonbinary youth passionate about gender equity and social justice. FAB creates community conversations, gives members opportunities to find their voice, support each other, create change, and embrace uniqueness.
Muse
Muses inspire Hardy Girls all across Maine, and so can you! The college students who volunteer as Muses come from a wide range of academic disciplines and share a commitment to gender equity. Guide a group and inspire the next generation of brilliant girl and nonbinary youth leaders.
Coalition Groups
Coalition Groups are facilitated by trained Muses who meet with girls and nonbinary youth to create a coalition of allies. The groups discuss media literacy, gender stereotypes, and how to proactively change the culture through social action projects.
Camp Brilliance
Camp Brilliance is a one-week daytime summer camp where girls and nonbinary youth explore creativity, leadership, and social change through arts, activism, and fun.
